Calder-Inspired Paper Mobile Workshop
Free Community Workshop at Ruby Project, Houston

Join us for a playful, hands-on paper mobile workshop inspired by the joyful balance and movement of Alexander Calder. This free, family-friendly workshop is part of my creative residency at Ruby Project and is open to the Houston community of all ages and experience levels.

Together, we’ll explore simple materials, color, and balance to create whimsical hanging mobiles that move beautifully with air and light. Participants will learn the basics of mobile construction while experimenting with shape, scale, and composition. No prior art experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to play.

This workshop is designed to be relaxed, welcoming, and accessible, whether you’re making alongside your kids, friends, or on your own. Come spend time creating, connecting, and celebrating making as a shared experience.
